WWE Begins Planning Charlotte Flair’s Return Amid Recovery Progress from Severe Knee Injury
Charlotte Flair, the 14-time Women’s Champion, has been absent from WWE for over nine months due to a severe knee injury suffered during a match with Asuka in December 2023. Despite the severity of her injury, which included tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, there are signs of progress in her recovery.
While Flair is not yet medically cleared to compete, WWE has begun discussing preliminary creative plans for her return. These plans reportedly involve current WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax and Money in the Bank contract holder Tiffany Stratton. However, these ideas won’t be implemented until Flair is fully cleared to wrestle. Although WWE sources initially didn’t expect Flair to return to the ring in 2024, the wrestler herself has claimed to be ahead of schedule in her recovery, sharing exercise videos on social media. Nevertheless, an official return date has not been set.
