Dave Bautista Helps WWE Star Drew McIntyre Land First Movie Role in “The Killer’s Game”
Dave Bautista, a former WWE star turned successful Hollywood actor, has revealed his role in helping Drew McIntyre secure his first movie role. Bautista recommended McIntyre for a part in his latest film, “The Killer’s Game,” directed by JJ Perry. The director was seeking a physically imposing actor who could perform a Scottish accent, and Bautista immediately thought of McIntyre, whom he has known since McIntyre was a teenager.
After discussing the opportunity with McIntyre and receiving an enthusiastic response, Bautista advised him to speak with Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who gave his approval for the project. Bautista praised Levesque for his leadership in WWE, noting that the company is now more open to allowing its stars to pursue outside projects. This marks a significant change from Bautista’s time with the promotion, which he described as more insular, contributing to his departure over a decade ago.
