Drew McIntyre praises Dave Bautista’s mentorship in WWE and film debut
Drew McIntyre, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, recently shared his positive experiences with Dave Bautista, known as Batista in WWE. During a Reddit AMA to promote his new movie “The Killer’s Game,” which stars Bautista, McIntyre praised his colleague’s kindness and mentorship. He described Bautista as naturally introverted, like many wrestlers, and recalled how Bautista guided him through the complexities of WWE when McIntyre was younger.
The friendship between McIntyre and Bautista likely began in the late 2000s when they shared a locker room in WWE. Although they never faced each other in the ring, as Bautista left WWE in 2010 to pursue an acting career, their bond has endured. Now, as McIntyre ventures into acting himself with “The Killer’s Game” as his debut film, he appreciates Bautista’s continued support and guidance in this new arena, describing him as an “all round great lad.”
