AEW President Tony Khan Shows No Interest in Signing Former WWE Star Matt Riddle

Former WWE star Matt Riddle recently hinted at the possibility of joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for better pay and a good TV schedule. However, reports suggest this might not be likely. AEW President Tony Khan reportedly has no interest in signing Riddle, especially in recent years. Despite Riddle working with AEW-signed talents in Mexico, there’s been no indication of a potential deal in the United States.

Riddle also shared details of an awkward backstage encounter with Khan after a match in Chicago. While initially seeming happy, Khan allegedly appeared confused when Riddle asked about his match in an unusual tone. Since leaving WWE, Riddle has been active in various independent promotions across North America, including appearances in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Major League Wrestling. His most recent match was a victory over Matthew Justice at an MLW event in August.
