Stephen Amell reveals challenges of wrestling debut, praises Christopher Daniels’ support at All In event
Stephen Amell, known for his role in “Arrow,” has proven to be an exception among actors who venture into professional wrestling. His athletic background helped him perform his own stunts and gave him the confidence to step into the wrestling ring. Amell participated in matches at WWE SummerSlam in 2015 and the inaugural All In event in 2018.
In a recent interview, Amell shared his experience working with Christopher Daniels at All In. Despite Amell’s insistence on losing the match, Daniels initially refused. The match ended up being challenging for Amell, who fractured his hip during a risky move and struggled with adrenaline causing him to “blow up” early. Daniels helped Amell through the match, showing professionalism and support when Amell felt overwhelmed.
Amell’s wrestling-themed show “Heels,” which also features CM Punk, will be available on Netflix starting September 15, following its two-season run on Starz.
