Bully Ray reveals selfless reason for accepting WWE Hall of Fame induction, values fan reactions over accolades
Bully Ray, one half of The Dudley Boyz, recently shared his unique perspective on their 2018 WWE Hall of Fame induction. Speaking on “Busted Open Radio,” Bully revealed that he accepted the honor primarily for his tag team partner, D-Von Dudley. His motivation was to ensure that D-Von’s children could witness their father’s induction, as Bully himself doesn’t have children.
For Bully Ray, the true Hall of Fame experience occurs every time he steps through the curtain to perform. He values the fans’ reactions, whether cheers or boos, as the ultimate acknowledgment of his work. Bully emphasized that fan reception and their willingness to spend money to see performers are what truly matter in wrestling. During their induction ceremony, The Dudley Boyz made history by insisting on calling up other tag teams like The Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian to share the spotlight, a move they considered non-negotiable when discussing it with Vince McMahon.
