Willow Nightingale loses CMLL World Women’s Championship to Zeuxis at 91st Anniversary show
Willow Nightingale’s reign as CMLL World Women’s Champion came to an end on Friday at the CMLL 91st Anniversary show. She lost the title to Zeuxis in a match that concluded with a dramatic avalanche powerslam from the top rope. This was Nightingale’s first defense of the championship since winning it in July.
During her brief tenure as champion, Nightingale participated in two title eliminator matches in AEW. A planned title match against Kris Statlander at the All Out pay-per-view was changed to a non-title Chicago Street Fight due to CMLL not sanctioning the bout. Despite this setback and the loss to Statlander, Nightingale has had a stellar year in professional wrestling, winning several tournaments and championships across different promotions.
