MVP, 50, not ready for retirement: Set to face Josh Barnett at Bloodsport XII, AEW rumors circulate
Former WWE Superstar MVP, now 50 years old, has enjoyed a successful 20-year career in professional wrestling. He has achieved notable accomplishments, including winning WWE Tag Team and United States Championships, becoming the first IWGP Intercontinental Champion in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and claiming numerous titles in independent promotions worldwide.
Despite acknowledging that retirement is on the horizon, MVP recently stated during a virtual signing event that he’s not ready to hang up his boots just yet. He expressed his intention to retire on his own terms when the time comes, emphasizing that he won’t be making comebacks once he decides to step away from the ring. In the meantime, MVP is set to face former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett at the upcoming “Bloodsport XII” event in November, following a challenge he issued at a previous Bloodsport event in July. There are also unconfirmed rumors circulating about the possibility of MVP reforming The Hurt Business with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin in AEW.
