AEW Wrestling Match to Precede Jaguars’ Home Opener in Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month
In a unique celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, a special wrestling match will take place before the Jacksonville Jaguars’ home opener against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 15. The match, organized by AEW President Tony Khan, who is also involved with the Jaguars, will feature a “lucha libre” style two-out-of-three falls contest. Sammy Guevara and Hologram will face off against Matt Taven and Beast Mortos at the Flex Field in EverBank Stadium.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., with gates opening at 11 a.m. The wrestling match is expected to run until 12 p.m., giving fans plenty of time before the football game’s 1 p.m. kickoff. This special attraction adds an extra layer of entertainment to the Jaguars’ game day experience, blending the worlds of professional wrestling and football. However, it’s unclear whether the match will be available for viewing online or through a live stream for those unable to attend in person.
