Rob Van Dam, a WWE Hall of Famer, recently explained why he turned down an interview for the upcoming Netflix docuseries “Mr. McMahon.” While he doesn’t regret his decision, Van Dam admitted that he probably would have been fine participating. He expressed concerns about creative editing, even if he didn’t have anything particularly negative to say about Vince McMahon.

The wrestler revealed that the show’s producers were curious about why many wrestlers were hesitant to take part, given that McMahon is no longer active in the industry. Van Dam explained that his main worry was upsetting current WWE officials, who might prefer to keep past incidents under wraps. He also cited a previous negative experience with the “Dark Side of the Ring” series, where he felt his answers were taken out of context after being coached by producers. This past incident influenced his decision to avoid appearing in the McMahon documentary.
