Drew McIntyre reflects on TNA’s The Rising, admits initial reservations about LA Knight
Drew McIntyre recently reflected on his time with the faction The Rising in TNA back in 2015, which included LA Knight and Tonga Loa. McIntyre described his hectic schedule during that period, traveling frequently between the UK and TNA tapings. He mentioned the wrestling industry was particularly active from 2014 to 2017, leading to the creation of AEW.
McIntyre shared mixed feelings about being part of The Rising. While he enjoyed working with his teammates, he initially didn’t understand the need for a group. He was already friends with Tonga Loa (then known as Camacho) but had reservations about LA Knight at first. McIntyre admitted that Knight’s personality could be challenging initially. However, he always recognized Knight’s talent, particularly his charisma. Now, McIntyre expresses regret for his initial feelings towards Knight, stating that he now loves working with the current WWE United States Champion.
