Jack Perry retains AEW TNT Championship against Lio Rush on Dynamite, delivers cryptic message post-match

Jack Perry successfully defended his AEW TNT Championship against former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush on Wednesday’s “AEW Dynamite.” The match was fast-paced, with Perry ultimately securing the victory with a powerful knee strike to Rush’s face. This win comes shortly after Perry’s loss to AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson at the recent AEW All Out event.

When asked about his recovery from the loss to Danielson, Perry responded cryptically, saying, “People like me are crucified in this life, so we can be worshipped in the next.” Perry, known as “The Scapegoat,” has held the TNT Championship since winning a multi-man ladder match at the Forbidden Door event, where he received assistance from The Young Bucks. He has since become a key member of The Bucks’ New Elite faction, which also includes AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada.
