Jon Moxley turns on Daniel Bryan, cites failed BCC vision and declares himself ‘one true king’ in AEW

Jon Moxley shocked fans by turning against his former ally and AEW World Champion Daniel Bryan at the recent AEW All Out event. After initially celebrating Bryan’s victory, Moxley viciously attacked him, even attempting to suffocate Bryan with a plastic bag. This led to Bryan being stretchered out of the arena.

On AEW Dynamite, Moxley explained his actions, stating that while he didn’t enjoy it, it was necessary. He revealed that two years ago, they had committed to building something lasting and meaningful with the Blackpool Combat Club (BCC). However, Moxley felt they had failed to achieve their goals, citing out-of-control egos throughout AEW as the reason for their failure.

Moxley went on to criticize Bryan’s approach, referring to him as “Mr. Patience” and “Mr. Empathy.” He also alluded to William Regal, the BCC’s creator, suggesting Bryan was Regal’s favorite. Moxley concluded by declaring himself the “one true king” and stating that diplomacy had failed, leaving war as the only option.
