WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray claims Cody Rhodes’ title reign lacks a formidable opponent
Cody Rhodes has held the Undisputed WWE Championship for six months, successfully defending it against various opponents including AJ Styles, The Bloodline, and Kevin Owens. Despite his popularity and impressive performances, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray feels that Rhodes’ title reign has been slightly underwhelming.
Speaking on “Busted Open Radio,” Bully Ray explained that the main issue with Rhodes’ championship run is the lack of a formidable opponent. He pointed out that Rhodes hasn’t faced a “mega heel” like The Rock, who posed a significant threat during their WrestleMania storyline. Bully Ray acknowledged that it’s challenging to find an opponent of The Rock’s caliber, which has led to Rhodes facing challengers who, while talented, haven’t created the same level of excitement or threat to his reign.
