Netflix is set to release a six-part documentary series about former WWE CEO Vince McMahon on September 25. The show, titled “Mr. McMahon,” has already stirred controversy within the wrestling community, with some describing it as a critical examination of McMahon’s life and career. The recently released trailer features various personalities discussing McMahon’s character, including McMahon himself claiming that no one truly knows him despite his public image as a villain.

The timing of the documentary’s release is notable, given the recent lawsuit filed against McMahon by Janel Grant. This has led to speculation about how the series will address McMahon’s current legal troubles. According to reports from Fightful Select, the reaction within WWE to the trailer has been largely negative. Many current WWE employees and talent have expressed a desire to distance themselves from McMahon and move on from his era. One long-time WWE performer even suggested that McMahon’s life outside of his current legal issues should not be of interest to anyone.
