Piper Niven jokes about explosive rematch with Alba Fyre, teases potential WWE face-off
Scottish wrestlers Piper Niven and Alba Fyre, formerly known as Viper and Kay Lee Ray, have a long history of competing against each other in various promotions. Their last WWE match was in 2020 for the NXT UK Women’s Championship. Recently, Niven responded to a fan’s question about facing Fyre again, humorously suggesting that they haven’t had a rematch because it would be so exciting that it might cause the world to implode. Despite this playful response, Niven expressed her willingness to risk it for another match with Fyre.
Currently, Fyre is dealing with the recent loss of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which she and her partner Isla Dawn dropped to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at WWE Bash in Berlin. Meanwhile, Niven has been less active, with her last televised match on SmackDown occurring in July against then-champion Bayley. Niven’s recent activity has been limited to a dark match before SmackDown this past weekend, marking her return to in-ring action after a period of inactivity.
Not sure why it hasn’t happened yet tbh 🤔
My only hypothesis is that it would be such a banger that the world as we know it would implode under its bangerocity and that’s why they been keeping us apart.
But it’s a risk I’m willing to take. https://t.co/v5qMb3j0Gp
