WWE’s Damian Priest recalls emotional encounters with childhood idol The Undertaker

Damian Priest, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, recently shared his experiences meeting his childhood idol, The Undertaker. Priest, who is often compared to The Undertaker due to his dark persona and attire, first met the legendary wrestler at an autograph signing in New York in 1999. During this encounter, Priest attempted to do an impression of The Undertaker and was surprised by how kind he was in person.

At the time of their first meeting, The Undertaker was injured, and there were rumors about his potential retirement. Priest, a fan, tried to convince his hero not to retire during their brief interaction. Years later, after signing with WWE, Priest had another opportunity to meet The Undertaker at the WWE Performance Center. This second encounter left Priest emotional, and he even momentarily forgot his own name due to the excitement of meeting his idol once again.
