Von Erich Brothers Recall Memorable Match Against Briscoes at Ric Flair’s Last Match Event
The Von Erich brothers, Marshall and Ross, recently discussed one of the most significant moments in their wrestling careers on “AEW Unrestricted.” They highlighted their match against Jay and Mark Briscoe at Ric Flair’s Last Match event in 2022 as a uniquely special experience. The brothers emphasized the similarities they shared with the Briscoes, including their background in Pro Wrestling NOAH and their somewhat introverted personalities.
The match itself almost didn’t happen due to travel complications. Marshall revealed that they arrived just 15 minutes before their scheduled bout, which was eventually pushed to the semi-main event slot. Despite the lack of preparation time, the impromptu nature of the match led to a memorable performance. The Von Erichs expressed a deep connection with the Briscoe brothers following the match, noting their similar brotherly dynamic and the valuable advice they received.
