Jon Moxley’s recent return to AEW has sparked intrigue and uncertainty. He’s been focused on speaking with Darby Allin, orchestrating attacks by Marina Shafir, and has made cryptic comments suggesting AEW is no longer “his company.” Despite the ambiguity surrounding Moxley’s actions, AEW CEO Tony Khan expressed deep gratitude for Moxley’s contributions to the promotion during a media call for the All Out event.

Khan praised Moxley as a founding father of AEW and a trailblazer in professional wrestling. He emphasized that regardless of Moxley’s current direction, AEW is a better place with him involved. The future of Moxley’s storyline remains unclear, but it has been revealed that his refreshed character draws inspiration from Russell Crowe’s role in the 1992 Australian film “Romper Stomper.” However, due to the movie’s controversial subject matter, it’s uncertain how much of its plot or character elements will influence Moxley’s new persona in AEW.
