AEW Collision Hits Record Low Viewership, Faces Competition from College Football

The latest episode of AEW Collision on August 31 saw a significant drop in viewership, averaging only 289,000 viewers. This marks a 35% decrease from the previous week’s 442,000 viewers and is the lowest average viewership for Collision in its regular timeslot since its June 2023 debut. The key 18-49 demographic also declined, earning a 0.10 rating, down 23% from the previous week.

The show ranked 19th among primetime shows on Saturday night, with college football games dominating the top spots on both broadcast television and ESPN. Looking ahead, the next episode of Collision will be pre-empted due to AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event. This scheduling change means Collision will air head-to-head with WWE SmackDown on September 6, which will be SmackDown’s final episode on FOX before moving to the USA Network.
