Ilja Dragunov discusses transition to WWE Raw, family’s disapproval of wrestling career
Ilja Dragunov, former NXT Champion, has recently transitioned to WWE Raw as a full-time wrestler. Since joining the main roster in April, he has faced notable stars like Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, and Bron Breakker, and even competed for the Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn.
In an interview with Daily Star, Dragunov described the move to Raw as a significant step up. He explained that while the core of his job remains the same, the environment has expanded dramatically, with larger arenas and audiences. Dragunov acknowledged the increased pressure of performing at the highest level of professional wrestling but expressed confidence in his abilities. Despite the challenges, he aims to continually improve and become the best version of himself on the main roster. Interestingly, Dragunov revealed that his family does not enjoy his wrestling career, stating that they dislike his in-ring style.
