Eric Bischoff slams Tony Khan’s AEW financial claims, compares him to Dixie Carter
Eric Bischoff, former WCW Senior Vice President, has expressed strong criticism towards AEW CEO Tony Khan’s recent statements about the company’s financial future. On his “83 Weeks” podcast, Bischoff called Khan’s claims “bulls***” and compared them to repeatedly crying wolf. He suggested that while Khan may not be intentionally misleading people, there’s a fine line between promotion and deception.
Bischoff also shared an observation from Bill Goldberg, comparing Khan to former TNA Wrestling president Dixie Carter. He stated that both individuals are primarily motivated by a need for attention in the wrestling environment, often at the expense of logic. Despite these harsh criticisms, Bischoff remained optimistic about AEW’s chances of securing a new TV deal, stating that he believes they will likely get one and challenging anyone to find evidence of him claiming otherwise.
