Willow Nightingale, a rising star in AEW, recently shared her journey into professional wrestling. She revealed that her passion for the sport began with video games and grew stronger when she discovered ’90s Japanese women’s wrestling online at age 18. Inspired by legendary wrestlers like Aja Kong and Bull Nakano, Nightingale decided to pursue wrestling as a career after facing challenges in her academic life.

After signing with AEW, Nightingale had the opportunity to tour Japan for 10 days, an experience she initially thought would be a one-time event. However, she was pleasantly surprised to find that it was just the beginning of her international wrestling career. Thanks to AEW’s partnerships with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and CMLL, Nightingale has been able to continue living out her dreams of wrestling around the world. She expressed gratitude for these unexpected opportunities and emphasized her efforts to remain present and appreciative of her experiences in the wrestling industry.
