TNA Champion Nic Nemeth Open to WWE Crossover, But Not Interested in NXT Return
Nic Nemeth, the current TNA World Champion, has addressed speculation about his potential involvement in the ongoing TNA and NXT crossover. In a recent interview, Nemeth expressed that he has no interest in wrestling in WWE as the TNA World Champion, citing his past experience as NXT Champion. He feels that returning to NXT wouldn’t offer a significant payoff for him personally.
However, Nemeth hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of defending his title on WWE programming. He mentioned that he would be open to challenges from stars on Raw or SmackDown, particularly those he hasn’t worked with before. Nemeth emphasized that any crossover appearance would need to be beneficial for both TNA and WWE, stating that if there’s data suggesting it would be a huge draw, he’d be 100% on board.
The champion also shared his positive outlook on the current wrestling landscape, noting that multiple promotions succeeding simultaneously has been great for the business. Nemeth expressed no ill feelings towards competing promotions, mentioning that some of his best friends work in WWE and AEW.
