Eric Bischoff criticizes AEW All In match, praises Storm and May’s character work
At AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London, Toni Storm’s 300-day reign as AEW Women’s World Champion came to an end when she lost to Mariah May. While the match was generally well-received, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff shared his thoughts on his podcast, “83 Weeks.”
Bischoff criticized the technical aspects of the match, rating it as a 6 to 6.5 out of 10. He claimed that WWE women wrestlers are more technically skilled in the ring. However, Bischoff praised the character work and storytelling of both Storm and May, saying it brought something fresh to wrestling that hasn’t been seen in recent years.
Despite his critique of the in-ring performance, Bischoff commended Storm’s ability to keep the audience invested throughout the match and even after her loss. He believes that Storm’s stock has risen as a result of the match and predicts she’ll be in a stronger position moving forward.
