Wrestling icon Sid Vicious dies; Booker T remembers his crucial role in launching career

Wrestling legend Sid Vicious, also known as Sid Eudy, has passed away suddenly. While fans remember him for his World Championship achievements in WCW and WWE, fellow wrestler Booker T recalls Vicious as a crucial figure in launching his career.

In a recent podcast, Booker T shared how Vicious helped him and his brother, Stevie Ray, get their big break in wrestling. Vicious not only brought them into the industry but also provided them with a place to stay during their early days in WCW. Booker expressed his gratitude for Vicious’s generosity, stating that it gave them a significant boost at the start of their careers.

Booker also mentioned that Vicious played a role in securing their first Pay-Per-View main event appearance at Fall Brawl 1993. He expressed relief at having had the chance to thank Vicious in person during a recent meeting, acknowledging the lasting impact Vicious had on his wrestling journey.
