Jesse Ventura Nears WWE Legends Deal Following Vince McMahon’s Departure

Jesse Ventura, former wrestler and governor of Minnesota, is close to signing a new deal with WWE. This comes after Vince McMahon’s departure from the company, which has led to improved relations with previously estranged personalities.

Ventura revealed that contracts have been written and agreed upon, requiring only signatures from both parties to finalize a Legends deal. He expects this to happen quickly.

The relationship between Ventura and WWE has been rocky since 1986 when he attempted to form a wrestlers’ union. This led to a hiatus from wrestling, during which Ventura pursued acting roles. He later returned as a color commentator until 1990.

Throughout the 1990s, Ventura and McMahon clashed over royalty disputes. Despite these conflicts, Ventura made two notable WWE appearances: as a special guest referee at SummerSlam 1999 and as a guest host on Raw in 2009.

Recently, Ventura was seen backstage at a WWE Raw event with CM Punk, another formerly estranged figure, signaling a new era of reconciliation in the post-McMahon WWE.
