Former professional wrestler Sid Vicious, whose real name was Sid Eudy, has passed away at the age of 63 after a long battle with cancer. His son, Gunnar Eudy, announced the news on social media on August 26.

Sid Vicious had a successful career in both World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He began his wrestling journey in 1987 and became a four-time world champion, holding the top titles in both major promotions.

During his career, Vicious performed under various names, including Sid Justice and Sycho Sid. He was a prominent figure in wrestling throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, headlining major events such as WrestleMania VIII in 1992 and WrestleMania XIII in 1997. He also competed in the final WCW Starrcade event in 2000.

Vicious’s full-time wrestling career came to an abrupt end in 2001 when he suffered a severe leg injury during a match. However, he made occasional returns to the ring between 2004 and 2012, with his final match taking place in August 2017 at an independent show in Canada.

The wrestling community mourns the loss of this influential figure in the sport’s history.
