Her last match was at Double or Nothing in 2022, where she lost the AEW Women’s World Championship to Toni Storm despite needing special medical clearance to compete.

Hayter’s return is expected to boost AEW’s women’s division significantly. During her comeback, she interrupted Saraya’s speech and attacked her family members who were in the ring. This confrontation stems from a previous feud involving Saraya, Toni Storm, and Ruby Soho.

The wrestler had been sidelined with serious injuries but recently participated in AEW’s yearly physical examinations. There were talks about potential matches for her, and her return had been tentatively planned for the All In pay-per-view for several months.
