Bryan Danielson Captures AEW World Championship, Avoids Retirement in Intense Battle with Swerve Strickland

Bryan Danielson defeated Swerve Strickland in the main event of AEW All In 2024, winning the AEW World Championship. Danielson used the LeBell Lock submission move to make Strickland tap out, ending Strickland’s 126-day reign as champion.

The match had high stakes for Danielson, who had vowed to retire if he lost. His family played a significant role in the storyline, with Danielson embracing them before the match. Strickland used this emotional connection to taunt Danielson during the fight, even dragging a bloodied Danielson towards his family.

This victory allows Danielson to continue his wrestling career, which had been in doubt due to reports of accumulating injuries. The win marks Danielson as the ninth AEW World Champion in the promotion’s history.
