The Anoa’i family, a prominent wrestling dynasty, recently suffered the loss of Afa Anoa’i at 81, following his brother Sika’s passing less than two months earlier. Jey Uso, their nephew, spoke at Fanatics Fest about the impact of his uncles, known as the Wild Samoans, on wrestling. He credited them and ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia for establishing the family’s legacy in the industry.

Uso expressed that wrestling provides hope during difficult times and serves as an emotional outlet for the family. He believes it’s now the responsibility of the younger generation to continue the Anoa’i legacy in WWE, stating that his family is effectively running the company.

However, recent events on WWE SmackDown presented challenges for the family’s storyline. Jacob Fatu returned from injury to attack Roman Reigns, while Solo Sikoa, calling himself the new “Tribal Chief,” led an assault on Reigns. The show concluded with Sikoa asserting his dominance by raising his finger and wearing the traditional ula fala necklace.
