Jim Ross Discusses Potential AEW and WWE Collaboration Amidst Ongoing Wrestling Partnerships

In a recent episode of “Grilling JR,” WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross shared his thoughts on the possibility of a crossover between AEW and WWE. This comes amidst the ongoing successful collaboration between “WWE NXT” and TNA, which has seen several TNA stars make appearances and compete on the “NXT” brand. AEW stars, including Chris Jericho and World Champion Swerve Strickland, have previously expressed their openness to working with WWE, especially after AEW’s groundbreaking partnership with NJPW.

Ross, however, believes that a crossover between AEW and WWE would be challenging to achieve. “It’s hard to see it, but you know nothing’s impossible apparently, but it’s something I can’t fathom right now. I think WWE will take in borders and renters for their space, but to keep them permanently might be a stretch, but I think it’s a good idea,” he explained. Despite the difficulties, Ross remains optimistic about the potential benefits of such a collaboration for the wrestling industry as a whole. “The wrestling fans, I’ve said this before on our show here, they like new, they like change, they like surprises … I don’t see extended partnerships, but and I hope I’m wrong because I think it’s good for wrestling when you got new talent in and they’re getting an opportunity, they’re motivated they’re skilled, it’s good stuff.”

Furthermore, Ross expressed his enthusiasm for the current state of the wrestling industry, noting that there are numerous opportunities for talent to grow and prosper financially due to the abundance of promotions in today’s market. As the wrestling world continues to evolve and collaborate, fans eagerly await the next exciting development in the ever-changing landscape of professional wrestling.
