WWE Cancels Money in the Bank Press Junket Due to Holiday Conflict
WWE has confirmed it will not hold a press junket during the week of Money in the Bank, according to a report from Fightful Select. The premium live event is scheduled for Saturday, July 6th, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The decision to forego the press junket is due to the event’s proximity to the July 4th holiday. Holding the junket during that week would require WWE talent to travel to Toronto during the holiday period.
This is not the first time WWE has made such a decision. Fightful noted that the company took similar action for Survivor Series: WarGames last November, allowing talent to avoid travel during the Thanksgiving holiday.
