AJ Styles to Face Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH Destination 2024 in Japan
Following his WWE Undisputed Championship match loss to Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle, AJ Styles will face Naomichi Marufuji at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Destination 2024 event on July 13th at Budokan Hall.
In a Twitter video, Styles stated, “I am here to announce that I will be coming to Japan to face Japanese legend Marufuji at the Budokan at the NOAH event on July 13th. Let’s tear the house down on July 13th.”
Styles has a decorated history competing in Japan, including two reigns as IWGP Heavyweight Champion during his time with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
This match represents a collaboration between WWE and NOAH, who previously partnered for Shinsuke Nakamura’s match against The Great Muta at NOAH’s New Year show in 2023.
