Konnan Relives Controversial WCW Moments on Busted Open Radio
WCW Legend Konnan Recalls Backstage Reactions to Infamous “Fingerpoke of Doom” Incident
Former WCW wrestler Konnan recently discussed the controversial “Fingerpoke of Doom” incident during an appearance on Busted Open Radio. Konnan vividly remembered the immediate aftermath of the event, stating, “The Fingerpoke of Doom [made me think] ‘What the f**k is this?’ I could not believe that.” He also noted the negative reactions from both fans and fellow wrestlers, sharing that Goldberg was among those who were upset.
Konnan also touched upon another infamous WCW moment, the botched finish at Starrcade 1997 involving Sting. “The Sting thing, that was brutal,” Konnan remarked, recalling how a planned bloodbath effect missed its target not once, but twice.
