Bryan Danielson recently reflected on his pivotal match against Triple H at WrestleMania 30, which took place 10 years ago. The match determined who would join the World Heavyweight Championship main event featuring Batista and Randy Orton. Danielson revealed that he learned about the match plan and his opponent about four to six weeks before the event. He also mentioned that CM Punk’s departure earlier that year had affected the original WrestleMania plans, ultimately paving the way for Danielson’s increased prominence.

Danielson’s underdog story played out perfectly as he defeated Triple H in the opening match, qualifying for the main event Triple Threat. Although he wasn’t explicitly told about his involvement in the main event until the week before, Danielson had a strong feeling it would happen. He expressed his excitement about facing Triple H and potentially advancing to the championship match. In the end, Danielson’s instincts proved correct, as he went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship by making Batista submit to his signature “Yes Lock” move.
