Stephen Amell reveals pre-match anxiety at Summerslam 2015, expresses interest in wrestling return

Stephen Amell, known for his roles in “Heels” and “Arrow,” has made several appearances in professional wrestling, including matches in ROH and AEW. His most memorable match took place at Summerslam 2015, where he teamed up with Neville (now known as Pac in AEW) against King Barrett (Wade Barrett) and Stardust (now Cody Rhodes).

In a recent interview on “Insight,” Amell reflected on his nervousness before the Summerslam match, admitting he was so anxious that he forgot to enter the ring. He received support from Road Dogg, the match agent, and Cody Rhodes, who helped him train. Despite Amell’s hesitation, Rhodes insisted on starting the match with both of them springboarding into the ring, a move that terrified the actor.

Although Amell hasn’t wrestled since 2020, he has expressed interest in returning to the ring and has even mentioned potential opponents he’d like to face. His experience highlights the challenges faced by non-wrestlers when entering the world of professional wrestling, especially at high-profile events.
