Swerve Strickland reflects on AEW success, emphasizes value of opportunity and hard work

Swerve Strickland, a former AEW World Champion, has become one of the most successful signings in AEW’s history since joining the company in March 2022. In just two and a half years, he has made a significant impact, wrestling on various AEW shows and proving that hard work pays off.

In a recent interview on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Strickland shared his expectations when signing with AEW. He emphasized that all he wanted was opportunity and time. Strickland expressed his willingness to start from the bottom, even if it meant losing in battle royales, as long as he had the chance to showcase his talents. He values the opportunity to make an impact, even with just a minute of TV time, which he feels is unique to AEW.

Strickland also highlighted the importance of making the most of every opportunity, whether it’s on AEW Dynamite, Ring of Honor programming, or pay-per-view events. He believes that giving his all in any given time slot would lead to more opportunities in the future, demonstrating his dedication to his craft and the company.
