The professional wrestling world is mourning the loss of Ray Mendoza Jr., widely known as Villano V, who passed away at the age of 62. Villano V was part of a legendary wrestling family, being the fourth son of lucha libre icon Ray Mendoza. He and his four brothers formed the successful faction Los Villanos, adopting the names Villano I through V.

Villano V began his wrestling career just before his 15th birthday in March 1975. Despite being the fourth son, he took the name Villano V as he was the last of Mendoza’s sons to complete his education. Along with his brothers, Villano V rose to prominence in the Universal Wrestling Association (UWA), which his father helped establish. Throughout his career, he competed in various promotions including CMLL, AAA, and Promo Azteca in Mexico, as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling and Michinoku Pro Wrestling in Japan.
