CM Punk made a surprising return to WWE television during the latest episode of “WWE SmackDown” in Chicago, Illinois, his hometown. The appearance came just days after he interfered in Drew McIntyre’s World Heavyweight Championship match at Clash at the Castle, preventing the “Scottish Psychopath” from capturing the title. Punk addressed the crowd, reminiscing about his promise to leave his hometown as WWE Champion back in July 2011. He also acknowledged the threats he received about being attacked in Glasgow if he interfered in the match, but noted that it did not come to fruition. Punk then proceeded to verbally attack McIntyre before being interrupted by a familiar face.

Paul Heyman, known as the “Wise Man” for Roman Reigns, made his way down to the ring, referring to Punk as his “best friend.” Heyman embraced Punk, visibly emotional as he discussed hearing Chicago sports radio hosts discuss Punk’s return. However, Heyman revealed that Solo Sikoa, the new “Head of the Table,” was displeased with the notion of Chicago being referred to as Punk’s city, as Sikoa wanted every town to be his own. Heyman cautioned Punk about the impending arrival of the Bloodline and suggested that he leave the arena for his own safety.

As Sikoa’s music hit, he entered the arena accompanied by Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa. Sikoa presented Punk with an ultimatum: either acknowledge him or face the consequences of a beatdown. In response, Punk turned to Heyman, inquiring about what he desired in exchange for a favor. Heyman’s reply was simple: “take me with you.” Punk then acknowledged Sikoa as a “phony Tribal Chief,” finding himself surrounded by the Bloodline.

At that moment, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who had recently been challenged by the Bloodline following his victory at Clash at the Castle, made his presence known. Rhodes confidently declared that he had already defeated one “Head of the Table” and was prepared to face another. He challenged Sikoa to a one-on-one match, with the stipulation that everyone else would be barred from ringside. Sikoa accepted the challenge, and the segment concluded with Heyman accompanying the Bloodline up the ramp. Later, Heyman and Sikoa were spotted engaged in an intense backstage conversation, hinting at the potential fallout from the evening’s events.
