WWE’s Rhea Ripley Reveals Meaning Behind First Tattoo and Its Connection to Women’s Evolution
Rhea Ripley, a former WWE Women’s World Champion, recently shared her passion for tattoos in a video on WWE’s YouTube channel. Ripley’s interest in tattoos began at a young age, inspired by her parents’ ink, especially her father’s biker-like appearance. In 2018, she got her first tattoo, commemorating the date of WWE’s Evolution pay-per-view, which she shares with fellow wrestler Toni Storm.
The date, October 28, holds special significance for Ripley. It marks both WWE’s first all-women’s pay-per-view and the anniversary of her tryout with Australia’s Riot City Wrestling in 2012. Ripley views this date as the beginning of her wrestling career and the start of the “women’s evolution” in WWE. She describes her first tattoo experience as thrilling and exciting, despite the initial discomfort, as it marked the beginning of her tattoo journey and her transformation into “The Nightmare” and “The Eradicator” personas fans see today.
