WWE’s Kairi Sane Suffers Eye Injury During Raw Tag Team Match
During a recent WWE Raw event, wrestler Kairi Sane suffered a concerning injury during a tag team match. While attempting a high-risk maneuver from the top turnbuckle, Sane crashed face-first into the announce desk, resulting in a bloody left eye. Despite the injury, she managed to complete the match, though her left pupil was visibly red by the end. Sane later shared a photo on social media showing the aftermath of the incident, with blood visible on her face but seemingly cleaned from her eye.
The match, which Sane and her partner IYO SKY lost, was to determine the number one contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The extent of Sane’s injury and its potential impact on her wrestling schedule remains unclear. This incident comes as Sane approaches the one-year mark since her return to WWE in 2023, following a three-year absence. Interestingly, her former tag team partner and current stablemate, Asuka, has also recently recommitted to WWE but is currently sidelined with a knee injury.
