WWE’s Jey Uso reveals grueling reality of pro wrestling lifestyle, emphasizes importance of camaraderie
WWE superstar Jey Uso recently opened up about the challenges of being a professional wrestler. Despite his popularity on “WWE Raw,” Uso revealed that the lifestyle is far from glamorous. He described the demanding schedule, which includes long drives, early flights, rigorous preparation, strict dieting, and being away from home for about 300 days a year. Uso likened the experience to living in a circus, highlighting the intense dedication required to succeed in the industry.
Despite the hardships, Uso emphasized the strong bonds formed within the wrestling community. He expressed deep respect for his peers and described the backstage environment as a family. Quoting his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, Uso stressed the importance of enjoying the journey, knowing that his career will eventually come to an end. This perspective has helped him endure the challenges and build a successful 15-year career on WWE’s main roster, even though he once feared being fired every year.
