WWE Superstars Barred from Commenting on McMahon Lawsuit, Meltzer Reports Mixed Reactions Backstage
A lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE by former employee Janel Grant has become a major story in the wrestling world. Despite the company being named in the lawsuit, WWE has remained silent on the matter. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio explains that WWE superstars are not allowed to comment on the ongoing legal issue, as doing so could be considered “career suicide.”
According to Meltzer, while WWE stars can’t publicly discuss the lawsuit, they do have opinions on it. Many of the wrestlers he’s spoken with, especially women in WWE, are reportedly disgusted by the details in the lawsuit. However, some long-time members of the wrestling business who have worked closely with McMahon are less surprised by the allegations. These individuals are struggling with their feelings, given McMahon’s role in helping them become successful in their careers.
