WWE Revamps Live Event Schedule: Fewer US Shows, More International Tours Planned
WWE is reportedly making significant changes to its live event schedule. The company plans to host very few shows in the United States until after Christmas, with only two domestic dates set for late September in Georgia and Alabama. A UK tour is scheduled for October and November, followed by the annual holiday tour in late December, including events in the same city as AEW’s Worlds End pay-per-view and a potential show at Madison Square Garden.
While WWE hasn’t formally informed talent about reducing house shows, wrestlers generally favor a lighter schedule as it allows for more time off and family time. However, there’s an expectation of increased international events, given the success of recent tours in Mexico, Japan, and Europe. The impact of potentially more frequent overseas travel on talent remains unclear at this time.
