WWE Reshuffles Broadcasting: SmackDown to USA Network, Raw to Netflix, New Commentary Teams Announced
WWE is making significant changes to its broadcasting arrangements. “SmackDown” will move from FOX to USA Network on September 13, while “Raw” will transition to Netflix in January 2025.
These shifts have led to changes in commentary teams. Michael Cole and Corey Graves will form the new “SmackDown” commentary duo when it moves to USA Network. Cole will handle play-by-play, with Graves providing color commentary.
Pat McAfee, who recently left for ESPN’s “College GameDay,” is expected to return to “Raw” when it moves to Netflix. Additionally, ESPN broadcaster Joe Tessitore has been hired by WWE. He will continue his role as the voice of college football on ESPN and ABC while also presumably joining the “Raw” commentary team. Tessitore is set to start his WWE duties on September 2.
These changes aim to refresh WWE’s broadcasting lineup as the shows transition to new networks.
