WWE NXT viewership drops 4%, but sees 6% increase in key 18-49 demographic
The latest episode of WWE NXT, which aired on August 27, saw mixed results in terms of viewership. While the overall audience decreased by 4% compared to the previous week, with an average of 615,000 viewers, the show experienced a boost in the crucial 18-49 age group. This key demographic saw a 6% increase, achieving a rating of 0.17. Despite this improvement, the August ratings were still lower than those from the same period last year.
The most-watched segment of the show occurred between 9:00 and 9:15 PM, drawing 643,000 viewers. This peak coincided with a match featuring TNA Wrestling’s Rosemary against Kelani Jordan, as well as a backstage segment involving Chase U, Axiom, Nathan, Ridge Holland, and Andre Chase. The final quarter of the show, which included a concert by Joe Hendry that was interrupted by Ethan Page and Trick Williams, averaged 603,000 viewers. Viewership dropped slightly to 597,000 during the six-minute overrun.
WWE NXT’s upcoming No Mercy event is set to take place on Sunday at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. The show has six matches confirmed so far, building anticipation for what promises to be an exciting night of wrestling action.
