WWE and TNA Wrestling Showcase Unprecedented Collaboration with Cross-Promotion Events
The collaboration between WWE and TNA Wrestling was evident during recent events. At TNA’s Emergence event on August 30, WWE’s Riley Osbourne competed for the X-Division Championship in an Ultimate X match, which was won by Zachary Wentz. Wentz later defeated Wes Lee at NXT No Mercy on September 1. The No Mercy event also featured Joe Hendry challenging Ethan Page for the NXT Championship, with Page retaining his title.
During TNA Impact tapings on August 31, several WWE stars made appearances. Arianna Grace, daughter of TNA authority figure Santino Marella, was present at the tapings. Additionally, WWE NXT’s Karmen Petrovic made her TNA debut, challenging Jordynne Grace for the TNA Women’s Knockout Championship. The air date for this match has not been announced yet.
WWE SmackDown star Blair Davenport was also spotted backstage at the Emergence event, reportedly there to support Riley Osbourne before his X-Division Championship match. Her presence at the TNA event meant she missed WWE’s “Road to Berlin” tour.
