Will Ospreay Reclaims AEW American Championship from MJF at All In with Tiger Driver ’91
Will Ospreay emerged victorious in his second consecutive match at AEW All In, defeating Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) for the AEW American Championship. The rematch began with an intense staredown and quickly escalated, showcasing the familiarity between the two wrestlers through numerous counters and reversals.
A key moment in the match involved Daniel Garcia, who prevented MJF from using a foreign object against Ospreay. Throughout the bout, Ospreay showed reluctance to use his retired finisher, the Tiger Driver ’91, despite crowd chants. Ironically, MJF attempted to use the move on Ospreay but was unsuccessful.
The match concluded with Ospreay finally executing the Tiger Driver ’91 to secure the win. After the victory, Christopher Daniels presented Ospreay with the old AEW International Championship, which MJF had recently rebranded as the American Championship.
This victory serves as redemption for Ospreay, who lost the title to MJF in July during a nearly 60-minute match on AEW Dynamite, where MJF secured a last-minute win through questionable means.
