TNA-WWE NXT Partnership Boosts Careers of Mustafa Ali and Joe Hendry, Says Producer Ace Steel
The partnership between TNA and WWE NXT is creating new opportunities for wrestlers from both organizations. Ace Steel, who has returned to TNA as a producer, is excited about his role in developing new talent. He’s particularly impressed with two wrestlers: Mustafa Ali and Joe Hendry.
Steel notes that working with Ali feels like a “full circle” moment, as he remembers when Ali was just starting out in Chicago’s independent wrestling scene. He also praises Joe Hendry, saying they work well together and that Hendry has become one of the most popular wrestlers currently.
Mustafa Ali, who left WWE in 2023, has found great success in TNA. He held the X-Division Championship for 148 days and won the DREAMWAVE Alternative Championship. He’s also competed in several matches for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).
Joe Hendry is making waves too. Despite narrowly missing out on the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary, he’s now set his sights on the NXT Championship. Hendry won a Number One Contender’s Match against Pete Dunne and Wes Lee, earning a title shot against Ethan Page at the upcoming No Mercy event on September 1.
